SYNTHETIC DREADS

Singles and doubles - how to wear?

Dreads are divided into single ended and double ended. Difference is in volume and way of installing. You can check here and here (tutorials and not mine, they are the best existing created by Doctored Locks).
You can attach dreads by yourself or ask a friend. You can also find a hairstylist/ dreadstylist in your area and book an appointment. Process of installing a full set of dreads usually takes from one hour to few - depends on experience.
To attach your dreads you will need only: small rubber bands, comb and clips.

Care

Dreads are easy to wash and clean. Because they are made from synthetic, not natural hair, dreads don't need as much care as your hair.
There is no need to wash them as often as you used to wash your hair, but whole thing depends only on your needs. Synthetic dreads are made from kanekalon synthetic hair, which does not absorb sebum from your scalp, means dreads do not become greasy. Although, like clothes or any other materials, do absorb the smells.
Washing synthetic dreads should be gentle to not destroy their structure. I recommend to put on dreads a foam from a shampoo, then rinse.
Fastest way to dry wet dreads is to wrap them in large towel, after some time change towel to dry one and keep repeating untill dreads are dry. Hairdryer is less helpful.
When you decide to take off your dreads, I recommend to wash them in hands and just leave them to dry.

Durability

Synthetic dreads are temporary and reusable hair extensions. Every one to two months they need to be reinstall when braids become to be loose. Good care can keep dreads in shape for many months, knotty and crocheted dreads maybe even years. Temporary dreads don't damage your hair.
